Families In Motion
Families in Motion is a program developed by the school social worker to support education by providing workshops on different areas of learning. Families in Motion will meet every other month and will serve to provide guidance and support to families in areas relating to behavioral management, development, and school-based information.
Families in Motion has two specific functions. The first function is a support group. Families will be able to provide and receive feedback from their parenting peers by way of ideas and suggestions on how to support their child. The second function of the group is educational. Families will have the opportunity to learn different topics that support the educational process, provide interventions and strategies to support behavioral problems, and learn about community based programming and mental health literacy.
